Assignment 3: Changing your Oil

February 2, 2008

You waited: 3,467 miles

Mean waiting time: 3,258

Standard Deviation: 223 miles

z-score = (3,467-3,258)/223 = .9372

P (.94) = .1736

The fact that P is .1736 tells us that over 17% of the population waits longer than I did to get my oil changed. Also, I am within one standard deviation of the mean, and therefore I really did not wait unusually long to get my oil changed.

    Maroon,
I have been having so much trouble using bullets. I really like how you have done your page. It looks so organized and easy to read with the spacing and underlining titles of different sections. I don’t think I can change all of my bullets on the posts I have up now but for next assignment I will definately follow your layout. Thanks a lot!

Nice job on the content and organization of your blog. I would recommend putting your statistical data (mean, SD, etc.) in a chart next time. There is an example of how to do this on the psych261 blog.
